PARTNERSHIP · INDIA
Muni Seva Ashram has confirmed its support for BIOTOPE’s next development stage in writing. Our shared goal: a 2,000 m² installation in India. A 100 m² demonstrator in Germany is intended to pave the way.

Technology must eventually reach the places where it is needed. For BIOTOPE, that next step is taking concrete shape: together with Muni Seva Ashram in Goraj near Vadodara, we are working towards a 2,000 m² installation in the Indian state of Gujarat.
The site is intended to become BIOTOPE’s first large-scale reference project in India. Crop cultivation, solar energy and water recovery are to work together within one system. At the same time, we aim to establish the foundations for manufacturing and further developing the technology locally.

Muni Seva Ashram combines healthcare, education and social welfare with organic farming and renewable energy. Solar energy is already used for hot water, cooking and electricity. Organic residues feed into biogas production. These technical systems serve a concrete purpose: meeting people’s needs and using resources responsibly.
This is precisely where we see the connection with BIOTOPE. Sunlight makes plants grow, but it also brings heat and radiation that can put crops under stress. BIOTOPE takes this interplay as the starting point for its design: regulating light, generating electricity and hot water, and recovering water.
Our collaboration will bring this approach into a larger application setting.
In a signed Letter of Support, Muni Seva Ashram confirms its intention to realise the 2,000 m² BIOTOPE installation. Together with its project partners, the Ashram has expressed its readiness to finance implementation in India – a preceding larger prototype in southern Germany is right now being worked on.
The letter explicitly supports the planned 100 m² demonstrator in Germany and our efforts to secure German or bilateral public funding for it.
This gives the next development stage a concrete destination: a larger installation, a proposed site and a partner that intends to put the technology in a large scale scope, where it will serve peopel in need directly!

Our existing 20 m² functional prototype provides the technical foundation. Before implementation in India, a 100 m² demonstrator is planned in Germany.
This installation will prepare the transition to industrial manufacturing: refining mechanical details, developing manufacturing and assembly processes, studying operation over longer periods and producing the technical documentation needed for the subsequent transfer.
Muni Seva Ashram explicitly supports this intermediate step as essential preparation. It is intended to reduce technical and economic risks and establish the foundations for adapting BIOTOPE to Indian conditions and preparing local production.
The proposed development pathway:
Existing functional prototype in Germany.
Planned demonstrator to prepare industrial implementation.
Planned BIOTOPE installation at Muni Seva Ashram in India.
Our ambition extends beyond delivering a single installation. The planned collaboration includes technology transfer, adaptation to local requirements and preparation for manufacturing in India.
This is a central part of our vision: decentralised technology should become usable wherever people grow food, need energy and must use water carefully. Knowledge, manufacturing and practical application should come together locally.
The next step is clear. We are now seeking the funding schemes and financing partners who will help us make the 100 m² demonstrator a reality – laying the groundwork for the planned implementation in India.
